WHAT IS 'ILLEGAL MAGIQUE? The Magic Club Illegal born from an idea developed in Paris in the late '90s by a group of magicians "dissidents", with the aim of bringing together, in a magic circle informal and secular artists, just as the historian Illegal Magic Club Las Vegas (born in the 70s). But since the pronunciation of the word MAGIC French sounds more like MAGIQUE (the French emphasize each word), Maffei has decided to call their own so the "home" Italian, Illegal Magique. The aim is to convey the true meaning of magic, fun-packed conference and exhibition practices. The seats are taverns, pubs and bistros, where different places accommodate these weekly meetings, on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, between midnight and h. 5:30 (time of the first metro of the day). Walter Maffei is one of the first patrons of the Magic Club Illegal Horse's Mouth at the tavern on the Rue Montparnasse, and later, the "headquarters" were to Canotier cabaret in Pigalle and the Chiwawa Pub Notre Dame (still the official seat). Maffei, three years has this type of initiative in Milan, the club arch Cicco Simonetta, days and times but definitely different from those of Paris.
