Spaghetti and Mandolin Event on board to the cruise on mainland
Have you ever found yourself at an event so folkloristic that you can't stand still and want to sing and dance?
If at least once in your life you have been in Naples, then among the thousand extraordinary things, you will certainly have appreciated the food and the folkloristic frenzy of popular traditions that you breathe in the air.
Well, last night our Cruise docked (figuratively) at the port of Naples. Read on because I absolutely want to tell you what happened last night during the Neapolitan Dinner aboard the Cruise on the mainland. Just as the sun was setting in the sea in front of our eyes, and the temperatures made no sign of wanting to drop ... here the duo "Guitar and Mandolin" started to sing Neapolitan music.
Meanwhile, the guests were seated at the tables, and our chef Fabrizio (strictly Neapolitan) made his appearance at the show-cooking counter. As an appetizer, it delighted us with the Cuoppo: the typical Neapolitan parcel with fried pasta, croquettes and all the good things.
Obviously we wanted to portray the most authentic Naples, that same Naples that our chef lived when he was a child, so we served the appetizer (the Cuoppo) not as flat as happens now in restaurants, but exactly in the typical Neapolitan parcel.
And while the dinner continued with the Neapolitan Scialatielli with seafood, our musicians sang "Malafemmena".
You know her, don't you?
The atmosphere became more and more torrid, the Guests applauded, sang and so, here in full respect of the Neapolitan maritime tradition, the second course arrives: Mussel soup, octopus tentacles and prawn with Vesuvius lava oil.
Just imagine a giant saucepan with inside the mussel soup made exactly as they would serve it at the port of Naples, and garnish this red-hot oil from Vesuvius on top.
And right on the notes of "Caruso" ... the dinner ended with authentic rum babàs with whipped cream. here where the sea shines And the wind blows hard On the old terrace In front of the Gulf of Surriento An extraordinary evening.
And what satisfied us most was seeing the guests so carried away by the atmosphere of the evening that at a certain point they started singing too!
For the moment we leave you with a few short fragments. But very soon we will publish more videos.
