How the cruise on the mainland was born
Since the presentation video of the Cruise on the mainland was released, there has been a wave of phone calls from people intrigued by our formula. So after several messages on the facebook page and 66 phone calls in about 8 days, I thought of telling the story of the cruise on the mainland in a larger version.
(Yes! The switchboard show me the number of calls and 66 in 8 days made me think it was right to tell the whole story!)
So in this e-mail and in the next I will tell you how the idea of the Cruise on the mainland was born and how we have unknowingly (until today) become the first Hotel in Europe with a Cruise theme.
If you have been following me for a while, you know that even before I am a hotelier, I am a woman who loves comfort. I grew up in a family with the myth of America, spectacularization and special effects and I think this has marked a lot the way we work at the Giulia Hotel.
I remember that already in the early 60s my parents anticipated the times by building the first lift (you can imagine what it means in those years) and introducing the famous "Lobby Boy" who was wandering around the hotel with a hat with the only one task of accompanying people in the elevator.
Every year, at the end of the summer season, while many rested (rightly), "news" was discussed at home for the following year.
The subject of the discussion was always one: how to create more comfort.
I have always had a very feminine and empathic approach, believing that the hotel world should be looked at with the eyes of those who are at home, in front of an episode of Love Boat and dreams of living their own holiday.
I mean numbers, statistics, brain-storming are fundamental things in running a company but as far as they are, the customer doesn't care (and rightly so).
I think everyone, when we book a holiday, we think of the moments of relaxation and freedom that we will live with our husband / wife and not of management aspects.
So I wanted those thoughts and expectations to come true. I wanted to create a world that immersed people like in an episode of Love Boat.
I loved Love Boat, and I wanted to create a context exactly like that. It took years. We started with the first Special Events, then the Grand Gala and finally the Parades (just like on Cruise ships).
At the beginning, our idea was not to transform the hotel into a cruise ship but then ... like a bolt of lightning it was born ...
And tomorrow I will reveal to you the continuation of this story

Optimal Experience
Charming hotel with exceptional friendly service personnel. Good location in a charming area, close to the beach, beautiful mountains and the Pisa within short distance. As an extra service the hotel has bikes to lend out to customers free of charge.

"Great price for a lovely hotel"
Great price for a lovely hotel
We loved this small hotel. Great location. Very friendly staff. On the beach front, close to restaurants and bars. Promenade is accessible for those who love an evening stroll The only disappointment was the typical continental buffet Breakfast, not much variety. We loved our stay. We will return.

Amazing deal for the price and quality
Perfect 10 days staying in this 3-stars hotel for a good price! It was located just right at the beach and seaside surrounded by a good choice of restaurants and cafes. Breakfast had a huge choice from cold to hot meals (eggs, cheese, ham, fruits, 6 types of cereals, yogurt, croissant/bagel with various jams and filling, amazing locally produces chocolate cakes and biscuits with vegetarian options as well, good choice of juice, tea and coffee). Definitely will give this hotel 4 stars for its room size and breakfast quality and 5 stars for service!!! Room was spacious with a big bathroom. Staff was helpful and ready to help with with late check-in and early check-out.

"3 official stars but 5 for service"
3 official stars but 5 for service
ooked hotel with short notice (few days ago) - high season, so only 3 stars hotel available. It's my first since being a student at university. However the hotel have very good recomandations. I’m meet with a very young receptionist and already there my perception is "no service". I was wrong - from the moment i entered the hotel I was meet with a 5-star service! So focused on me as a customer eventhough there was other customers in line (and this is a very popular area, high season and again a 3-star hotel)Later in the evening I asked the receptionist if I could have fresch mussels - they did not have it but right away I was presented with an alternatives - Osters. Again we are talking about 3-star hotel however that is 5-stars service !!!! Looking so much forward to breakfeast tomorrow plus I forgot to mention the location and view over the sea :-)

"1 night stay in Maj 2016"
1 night stay in Maj 2016
Spent 1 night in this friendly, clean and elegant hotel in double room. The room was enough for 2 adults. Bathroom with shower was very clean. The location in front of the beach is just remarkable. There is a resturant in the hotel suitable for vegan as well. There are lot of restaurants and bistrots close to the hotel. Breakfast with variable choice. English speaking and really friendly staff.
